About CJK Travels

Who We Are

We’re a family of three, Joseph, our son Kaimani, and myself, Carmen, and we share a deep love for travel, adventure, and discovering new places together. Through our travel blogs, we share real experiences, honest tips, and the little moments in between, with the hope of inspiring others and helping families feel confident planning their own trips.

Together, we’ve been travelling for over eight years, and for me personally, travel has been part of my life for 26 years. Exploring new destinations, learning about different cultures, and creating memories has always been something we’ve loved. We’ve always enjoyed sharing our adventures with family and friends during catch ups, and starting a travel page was a dream that quietly lived in the background for years, something we always hoped to bring to life one day.

Then the world changed. The COVID 19 pandemic brought travel to a sudden halt, shutting borders and pausing the adventures we loved. Like so many others, our plans were put on hold, and the world felt much smaller for a while.

In 2023, everything changed again, this time in the most beautiful way, when we were blessed with our little miracle, Kaimani.

A lot of people assumed that becoming parents would mean the end of our travels. For us, it became the beginning of a new chapter.

Our adventures didn’t stop, they simply evolved. We learned to travel differently, to slow down, and to embrace a new way of exploring the world as a family. We’re still chasing experiences, still creating memories, and still living life to the fullest, just with a new rhythm and a new perspective.

Through our blogs, we share family friendly destinations, practical tips, and honest stories to show that travelling with a child isn’t something to fear, it’s something to embrace. This journey is about living fully, growing together, and proving that adventure doesn’t end when you have kids, it grows with you.
